"Perseverance is a great element of success. If you knock long enough and loud enough at the gate, you are sure to wake up somebody"
-- A Famous Quote From Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Hi,

How are you guys and girls doing today?

Is another weekend and I wish you all have a grateful sunday and enjoy your rest.

Today, I had just completed a simple case study about exploring a direct marketplace which I think anybody who are trying to make money online or finding their target market would be useful for their readings… :)

Alright, let’s move on to the article.

Title: Exploring Your Direct Marketplace

In exploring your direct marketplace, one thing you are able to do is get out of the office and go to the corner Barnes and Noble. When you’re in the store, you need to be aware of the merchandising.

The content publishing companies spend a LOT of money analyzing the placement of products. As a common principle, those books that are exposed at eye level are the books that they expect to sell. Additionally, those on the end caps (especially at eye level) are the best marketers. Take a good look around you and make a note of these.

You’ll also prefer to look at the magazines and be aware of the same exact thing. With magazines that are at eye level, you’ll also would like to notice:

1) The number of magazines on any given topic;
2) The price of the magazines in any given topic;
3) The titles of the articles within the magazines for the hot topics.

Now, have a look at the “House Plans” type magazines. There are a TON of them! And, they’re all very costly. Chances are that this is a burning subject.

Are you adopting this procedure? Your destination at this point is to find a subject — ANY subject — but preferably, a HOT subject. If you pick a hot subject, regardless how much competition there’s in the marketplace, you will at least get over the first hurdle of having an audience.

Your research will assure you whether there’s a market for your subject, and it will also tell you whether the market is over saturated. But be aware … In a extremely saturated market, you’ll require to have more money to spend on advertising, particularly if the cost per click is somewhat high. Therefore, it wouldn’t be advisable to pick a highly saturated market for a first infoproduct.
